I want to wish you a very “uncomfortable Christmas.” Let me explain!
On Christmas day, over 16,000 children are going to die of starvation. That means one child every five seconds on Christmas day and every other day will loose their life because they have been malnourished. Last year nearly 9 million children died before they reached their fifth birthday. This is also a national problem. Nearly one in four children in the U.S. live in households that struggle to put food on the table. That’s 16.7 million children. I personally will be uncomfortable on Christmas Day. The words of John Calvin are very poignant. He said, “All the blessings we enjoy are divine deposits, committed to our trust on this condition, that they should be dispensed for the benefit of those in need.” Let’s all make a real difference in someone’s life this Christmas.
For the Sake of his Name,
Craig

Thank you Craig. I will. And I am glad you will have an equally desperate and non-plussed vision of this years Christ-mass as well. Amigo, your blog caught my eye with the phrase "no matter what" and lost my attention when I realized you had a religious slant. But I am compelled to remind you, as a fellow crusader if you will for justice, equality, and life for all: guilt tripping people doesn't work if they have the choice to not listen. It's important to keep that in mind if people like you and I are going to make a difference. Good luck.
I appreciate your views. One of my goals is to inform and encourage people to take action. Everyone has a choice whether or not to listen. Fortunately more and more people are paying attention. Guilt is a personal issue that everyone has to deal with. Regarding the religious slant, the evil and oppression that takes place in the world today is a direct result of sin. If the healing and deliverance that comes only through Jesus Christ is not at the center of our focus, the good that takes place will be temporal.
oh you have a very good heart i hope many people do the same thing.
