Mike Licona from the North American Mission Board makes an important contribution to the Mormon discussion. He states, "When you consider Mormon doctrines such as the plurality of gods, God having been once a man, man becoming a god, Jesus created by God, an afterlife much different than Jesus describes, and various salvation requirements, Mormonism presents a gospel much different than we find in the Bible. Therefore, the Apostle Paul's words in Galatians 1:8-9, KJV, may very well apply: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so I say now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Good word.. I read that in Galatians yesterday!
I like your sign off...haha.. I stole it for my blog title!
I pointed to that verse several times, and they insist that Mormonism is not another gospel, but the gospel fulfilled.
Finally I just said "Look, when I take the Bible, KJV version if you wish, I can not find any contradictions, anywhere. Now when I hold the Book of Mormon next to my Bible, then there are loads of contradictions. So one of two things are true, either my Bible is garbage, or the Book of Mormaon is garbage. I can tell you now which one I choose".
They had to go home then...
This is Andrea btw, I'm posting ano. so I don't have to get an account. =) See you all Sunday.
