I have been ill since making my last post --which of course is never fun. Whenever I am sick, it gives me greater appreciation for "being well." It also causes me to think about the fact that there are many places in the world where a large percentage of the population has never "been well." I have looked into the eyes of children who have carried the HIV virus since birth; others who continuously deal with the physical pain of malaria, dysentery, or TB; and many more who have been devastated by ongoing famine or war. They have never "been well."
just some thoughts ...
